To answer your question-YES! I have driven a 6-my 1st was a 66 coupe 200 3 speed and I currently own a 64-1/2 coupe w/170 inline w/3 speed and I also have a 66 'vert with v-8(so I know both sides of the spectrum). When you drive 90mi. round trip to work 5 days a week, you begin to appreciate the gas milage associated with a six. I'm just curious as to why someone would get a six, spend the cash to upgrade the brakes, rear, suspension, radiator, associated wiring and motor/frame mounts when for all the expense, they could have gotten a V-8 in the first place. To me it just doesn't make sense. BTW-visit the website www.fordsix.com and you'll see what can be done to a six to give it as much power as an 8(it's true).
Now on the other side of things, I know a v-8 has more power and oomph to it and there's no better feeling in the world than tapping the gas and actually going somewhere fast.
What I would actually like to see is the guys who do change(after all it is your car do what you want to it), save aside the 6 and associated stuff, because for guys like me who have sixes, it's getting harder to find the parts for them. I'll ask nicely.....PLEASE.
