View Full Version : Pros of a muscle car?
67gt500 06-12-2003, 02:21 AM Hey, I'm 16 years old and I'm looking at my first car. I'm interested in getting a mustang, I'm looking at a 1969 Mustang Grande right now. But my parents dont like the idea as much as I do. They haven't said no, but they arn't saying yes.I have come up with some good reasons asto why I should get one, but I need more. I need some good reasons why I should get one. Thanks
DrededSS 06-12-2003, 02:26 AM My first car was an '85 honda accord, 4 door, peeling paint,no radio or A/C and died at every stop. When I wanted to buy a 1970 skylark, I used the excuse of crash protection....my tank would saw through most plastic on the road...it worked!

Mustangood 06-14-2003, 05:33 AM How much do you plan to spend on this car? and are youplanning it to be a car that your gona have to do some work on, or do want one thats alread fixed up?
67gt500 06-15-2003, 03:22 AM Well I have about $5000, so it would be a good one, not the best but you can get a good car of that year for 5k. Im looking at a mustang grande right now, that is almost mint, but the hood needs to be replaced.

Mustangood 06-15-2003, 04:07 AM Because the grande's arn't as desirable as other mustangs, you can really nice one in good condition for a good price. Thats a reason right there. Price. and, its American!

67aquafastback 07-27-2003, 03:14 AM Best reason it is easy to work on and you would like to learn to do your own repairs. Parts are fairly cheap. Imports parts are big $$$$ and most cars of today where not built to last like the cars of the 60s
Zcpeanut 07-27-2003, 03:17 AM 67 tell your parents the the frames are steel and its basically a tank haha, their pretty safe besides people say that if you rearend somebody ull get a really f-ing bad head ache causeve no airbags, heh.
churk13 07-28-2003, 09:03 PM Just be prepaired for every little thing to go wrong. It takes a lot of time just to deal with the needs of an older car. But once you have one everybody is jealous(well I don't know about a grande but it is a star). If you get a bad one though don't let it stop you from buying anotherold carin your life, because some are money pits.
65CoupRacer935 12-13-2003, 06:50 PM Dude I got my Mustang for $5200.

All it needs is paint which I'm saving up for.

Man you are still being a total pr**k JUGHEAD!!!! . I have been spending less time here and the fisrt two post I view you have some jackass response to them. If you can't add something positive to a post then why add something at all. I guess you just want everyone here to see that you are nothing but a ass hole and you can not control what or how you act.

Stl Wild 02-17-2004, 02:49 PM CoupRacer... quit being so sensitive, Jug was just informing you. BTW, I wanted to ask you something, what happend to telling me your ET??? That's what I thought. And congratulations 1969Mustang on getting the car..
