With all those modifications it isn’t an Acura any more.

fast but I agree, that's no longer an Acura whatever it is yes it's still an acura, but it's no longer like the Integra (?) it's made to look like...

that's as much an Integra as this is still a Ford Fusion.

So which is it Derf00, an Acura or not an Acura? I'm confused with your statement.

it may still be an Acura (the company that built it If it was built by Acura) but it's not a production Acura Integra (the model of car)

Ford Fusion is still a Ford but no way is it a production Fusion.

If it was home built..nope..not an acura by any means...it's a kit dragster.

I really dont like it for some reason. When you have to unload the car the body and THEN the chassis and engine, it is not the original car anymore.

It's still bad ass for a 4 banger dude. Of course it will get spanked by a V8. You might as well just say some **** like "9 is a larger number than 3." Duh.

I don't recall them ever saying it was built to compete against 8 cyl pro dragsters. hmmm... what relevance does your post have?

The fact that a 4 cylinder engine is THAT close to a V8 with that kind of quarter time is still impressive in and of itself.

I like how the 4 cylinder is 4.8 liters.

why do they take EVERYTHING we love and make it gay. 250+ mph in a rail car. John Forces FUNNY CAR would eat that thing up.

That's great. Something you won't see ruined something else you watch. and nobody cares if John Force's car would eat that thing up.

Because they hate you. They are out to get you and make your life as miserable as possible. The real question should be why are people so threatened by technology that's different from the norm. Why bash an innovator and call his work gay? V8 drag cars didn't do 250+ mph in the begining. Why on earth would you think a 4 cylinder drag car would? We don't know where this technology will go. Give a guy some credit for being different?

Bob Norwood has been doing odd things for years. He's put turbochargers on Ferrari's, some making close to 1000 hp, and even made a Ferrari drag car. Life would be pretty boring if everyone did the same damn thing. Here's his site if any are interested. http://www.bobnorwood.com/

You're welcome. Norwood has done some really cool stuff over the years. It was nice the students were able to get involved in the MR2 project.
