Hello all

This is my first post. I found the site by googling. I'm looking to by an 04  GT vert this week. I considered waiting for the 05 but my current set of wheels is barely hobling around and it's time to put it down (don't ask what it is). Plus the 3k rebate is too good to pass up. I get the feeling they may be having trouble moving the 04's because so many people are waiting for the 05's. I have never owned a sports car. Every where I go on the net it seems people love thier Stangs. I test drove one on Friday. All I can say is WOW!

I still haven't decided on extras. I hear good things about the Mach 460 stero system. But is it worth the $490 invoice cost? What about the interior upgrade package vs. the pony package? Is it worth the cost? How good is the quality of the leather seats?

I'm geting the majority of my quotes from the net. I can't believe I ever just walked into a dealership and walked out with a car. I'm not going to name the site unless anyone is interested. But I got a pretty good education on buying a new car.

I may hang out here for a while. I'll be seeing everyone around.

I'm still considering offers. There doesn't seem to be a huge selection of convertables in my area, alot of coups tho. Maybe its the time of year. My first choice would be torch red, after that yellow, and then orange. I'm hearing if I ordered from the factory I would have to wait 6-8 weeks. That's not an unreasonable amount of time but I don't want to have to dump any money into keeping my current transportation going. It still runs but it won't pass inspection. And right now I got Stang fever.

As far as upgrades go I'm not sure. I'm probably going to keep it stock for awhile. This being my first sportscar I have ALOT to learn. My number one priority is going to be taking extra good care of this car. When I learn the ins and outs of her I'll see what direction I want to go.

I'm leaning toward red or orange, or possibly yellow. I don't like the blue. I may take the best deal with the options I'm looking for regardless of color. We'll see. A guy I work with has a good friend who works at a ford plant. Supposedly they just opened up their A-plan deals to non family member. He's going to see if he can get me a hook up. If I can get a deal then it will be either red or orange and it will be loaded.
