Why is it that 90% of the posts here that talk **** about the SS are made by people who I could beat in my slow little Cobalt SS.

It doesn't matter what the roll mph was a Cobalt SS will kill a 99-04 GT from any mph. Except for under 30mph because then I just spin through first and second.

Face it a GT cannot compete with F-Bodies, Maximas, Altimas and now Cobalt SS's.

Hmmmm, Now I remember why I sold my GT.

What excusses are you all going to have when you run into a Stage 2 Cobalt SS?

I really hope im in that 10% you refer to as those who can whoop dat ass! Which goes for most of the cars on this board. So let me change your quote to properly suit what needs to be said...

Why is it that 9.9% of the posts here that talk **** about the SS are made by people who I could never beat in my slow little Cobalt SS. Is my car really that slow? I guess so. I will leave you guys alone now and take my front wheel drive-S/C 4 CYL-ricer mentality with me.

WOW... and thats the good motor too if i'm right. Same motor they put in the type R's. And as far as the ricer that went on earlier, ANYBODY can be called a ricer, all you need is a set of altezza tail lights and/or a hideous looking car lol.

I believe that being a "ricer" is more less a frame of mind. I personally will never drive a 4/6 CYL thats sold to the public as a "Fast Car" because there is no real such thing as a stock four banger with potential. It takes a lot of work to make one go fast. You can say the SRT4 does and I will argue the point because there is two of them down the road from me thats sitting in the yard and aint moving an inch because those bit*hes are blown to hell and back. We all know a 2V GT with a blower, exhaust, a little suspension work and a good driver will go low to mid 11's and there is more than enough proof right here on this site. Ive seen it in person. Thats called potential.

Nice Cobalt but sorry I rather have my GT, but why do you guys bash the GT? The car is capable of doing 150 Easily for $26k Im happy with that if thats not enough mybe a Cobra 170MPH? Not enough Just go get a Saleen S7 LOL 220MPH? Still not enough just go but a Jet! But the GT is a sweet car I know ive down 124MPH in mine @ just a little past 3000 RPMS! Only did it one time I baby her!

We are not really discussing top speed but more accelertion. The GT definitely has a higher top speed.

HAHAHA did you look at all the cars he had before? He had some nice ones, and now has a cobalt. Jokes on him...probably has bad acne too.

the cobalt ss are the "same" as the saturn redline correct? my gf spanked her neighbors redline badly in her 05gt. it was hilarious...only because he kept saying..."but its supercharged, i'd smoke you" i said...yeah it sc'd but it only make 205hp or something. he really didn't get it. so my gf offered him a race to shut him up. he's a pretty cool guy and his last car was a stock civic, so he just had to be smacked into reality

Yes, same drivetrain so really they are the same car with different bodies.

Dude.... you're just digging your hole deeper and deeper. I would let off and not say anything like that.

You don't know what half of these guys run, or are capable of running. See jd's Cobra? Your stock SS isn't touching it, even with him on street tires.

Seriously... back off... stop making posts like this.

And looking at the end of that video, hearing that blower scream and the car going no where... I would put all the money in my account on a 99-04 GT any day of the week versus that car! LOL

I recently bought a 95 GT and im new to this forum, but i did some mods when i first got it, h pipe, flows, steeda short shift, and superchip, and i race a new stock 350z and a Cobalt ss at a 35 roll and ate them both by like 4 or 5 car links, and that was like in a couple of blocks, so i know from my experience a SS wont eat this GT

Lovin my 5

Can anyone here read? It says right in the video that the SS has a intake and a B&M shifter. That is how loud the stock S/C is there is no aftermarket one yet. And why cry and make excusses about the GT in the video? It sounded like he was running pretty high RPM's so the excusses are BS.

And a Stock GT will not go past 148mph it has been proven many times. Hell it won't even do 120 to 140 in less than 10 seconds.

I think your all just pissed that another 4 cylinder can hand you your asses.

And by the way pj1010 your the one thats still in HS as it seems, I graduated in 97.

Why not stop all of the nay saying BS? Both the GT and the SS run equal times in the 1/4 both are in the 14.0 to 15.0 bracket no matter what you guys would like to think. But from a roll it's all Cobalt SS Period.....

LOL...remember that video of the slow cars with the audio dubbed over it "baa ding ding ding ding bawwwwwwww ding ba ding ding bawwwww reaaaaaaaaaaarrrrr" thats what the car in that video reminds me of. That dude was winding the **** out of that little thing and it was moving at about 3 miles per hour. Meh..whatever. It's your car. If you're happy thinking your dinky excuse for a sports car is cool, then **** it. Why do you car what we say? It's a god damn mustang forum, not CheeseMobileForum.com

Cobalt SS
0-60 mph: 6.0s
1/4 mile, sec @ MPH: 14.5 @ 98.2
Braking, 60-0 mph, ft: 115
200 ft skidpad, avg G: 0.89
600 ft slalom, mph: 69.0

I'm sorry, but any 99+ GT will put a hurting on that.

Where do you live, I will put $1000 on my car from a roll and a stop. You WILL lose. A cobalt does not have the top end you think it does. A 98 MPH trap does not equal more top end than a 99+ GT. YOU ARE SLOW, give it up. How many people need to own you here before you realize how slow you are. If you are really feeling good about yourself see if you can set something up with Nanaki or JDANIEL. They would put about 20 bus lengths on your new age cavy on steroids. Just because you have a bigger wing than a GT doesn't make you faster. No 99+ will run 15s. I have seen many a video and heard of many Cobalts running high 14s, low 15s. I will say this again just to make sure you understand, YOU ARE SLOW, YOU CANT BEAT ANYTHING WORTH WHILE. All motor Hondas will smoke you. Go drink some drano now and slit your wrists. I will be waiting for your reply so everyone else and I can proceed to FLAME you some more.
