With the exception of a couple cars from back in the day 90% of the new SS labled cars are faster. The 10% being the Monte Carlo SS (since the 80's) and the S-10 SS.
Impala was the first to carry the SS badge, and then Camaro and Chevelle came along...after that, I don't really care...depending on what year the monte received the SS, I am not sure, I may be made to care about that too.
I don't not like the Cobalt..looks like a quality vehicle, best of the American compacts by far...but to me being a muscle purist, it is sort of a bastard child and brother to the dodge neon and ford focus that Japanese imports have forced American car companies to start to produce to compete in that market. The American compact market symbolizes the fall of the era and type of car I love so much...which is hopefully on a comeback tour. So tacking on the SS badge which belongs to muscle cars to a non muscle car...well...

I bought a Cobalt SS it has a 4cyl with a S/C stock it runs low 14's with $800 it will be running 13's all day long. With that being said with the exceptions of LS1's and Mach1's I will be able to embarass alot of people.
Thats why I bought it. If I wanted anything else I could easly afford it.

The only person who will be embarassed is you...racing around in that damn thing. Damn kids.
And how many of those were there? You guys jump the gun about anything here.
and you make hypocritical generalizations to make your arguments look better....
LOL..exaclty. One video of a Cobalt ahead of a Mustang..I'm sure I could find a video of a Mustang passing a Viper.......MUSTANGS ARE VIPER EATERS.
Agreed, I'm also talking about the "perfect traction for the SS"...well with Perfect traction on a GT, you'd still be beat. "Paper racing is lame (I agree) and magazine numbers are conservative for a Cobalt SS" But then to say Magazine numbers on a GT are giving too much...there again... comments made that are hypocritical and one sided generalizations.

That thign DOES get perfect traction. LOL. The end of the video cracks me up.
Actually a buddy of mine justgot an 05 ss. It's a pretty tight little car, I drove it, now i'm not impressed considering I went from a v6 4x4 95 4runner to an 04 cobra....but what do you expect. It's a pretty swift little monster.
You know you did. You are a fool who lacks any knowledge. I know I have told you this in about 30 threads and in 22 forums but I will tell you again. YOUR CAR IS SLOW. YOU CAN'T BEAT LT1s or 99+ GT MUSTANGS.

Hey 757GT why don't you pull your head out of your ass? What the hell do you know? All I have seen you do is complain.
And until a 99-04 GT runs solid 13.9-14.0 my Cobalt SS will keep up. At least admit that it's a drivers race or you truly are an idiot.
Look dumbass, they dont need to run 13s to beat a mid 14 sec. econo **** box with a big wing. You say so much dumb stuff and expect not to get flamed. We love flaming you that is all you are good for.

even i will admit that for the price it puts up good numbers and competes with bone stock gt's. not to mention having decent gas mileage. the difference is the gt hasnt even had its potential tapped. 9 lbs of boost isnt unreasonable for the 4.6 to handle and with that your looking at low to mid 11 second 1/4 mile times. theres just no replacement for displacement.

I just got a rental car for my car being hit by the damn snow plow! Well its a 05 Cobalt not an SS, but its very very slow, and i hate the interior!...whats the HP rating on the SS i kno its faster than my rental but i dont like it at all anyway. Id much rather have my car over your car even if it ran 13's.
