I was searching for superchargers and found the new Vortech sc at jegs.com. I called to see what it came with since it was more than $1000 dollars less than the ProCharger. They sales guy wasnt very helpful and didnt know much. Does anybody know what this kit comes with since it doesnt state? Are new fuel injectors necessary? Would it be cheaper to go with Vortech and order the other necessary stuff? Blowbyracing.com also offers the ProCharger system, a little more than rpmoutlet.com. They mentioned if I was to order the ProCharger State II system I could sell the diablosport tuner myself since I already have the X-cal 2. If you were to order a sc kit which one would you go with. Or would you wait until powerhouse411.com releases their turbo?
The one at jegs is most likely just the charger. This wouldn't include mounting, injectors, blah blah blah, the stuff you pay for in the kit.
If you are going to custom build the kit yourself, just buying the charger isn't a bad way to go, but if you are looking for something you can bolt on in a weekend, go with a pre-built kit.
Personally, I'm sticking with the N2O until I can rebuild my engine sometime next year, and then I'm going for a custom twin turbo setup (unless there is a relatively good priced twin turbo kit available)
Do you know if we even need new fuel injectors if I was to add the SuperCharger? I know the ProCharger kit comes with it but is it really necessary, or is it just for better performance?

Do you NEED fuel injectors? Probably not NEED.
But I'd rather upgrade my injectors and not run lean at 7-8PSI of boost...
I'm waiting for the Powerhouse turbo. Their kit will come complete with injectors and a fuel pump booster, not to mention a custom SCT tune. It's going to be out around the first of the year.
they have said it would be comparible to the superchargers available now
but be ready to replace your rear end with an 8.8.. they broke the 7.5 with this setup, going 11 something
never just rely on a tune someone sent you with a power adder application. it's a good starting point, but all engines are slightly different, and should be tuned individually when you are stressing them out, especially if your mods are slightly different than theirs. the tune they send you is good to get you to a tuner, but I wouldn't push it until it's been custom tuned.
if you're gonna spend $4-7k on a charger, what's another $4-700 to make sure you don't destroy your car AND the charger?

You don't have to replace the rearend. He broke the rearend drag racing with slicks, launching at 4,000rpm. With street tires you will spin if you try to launch hard. If you do plan on launching hard at the track, and let's face it...most people won't, you can upgrade the 7.5" and make it as strong or stronger than the 8.8".
