Greeting everyone!  Just became a new member but have been a Stang owner before.  I sold my Bullitt (great car) about a year ago to buy a Z06, big mistake.  Sold it recently and am again looking to return to Mustangs.

Here's a question of you all.

I'm looking at a choice of (1) a 2004 Mach 1 (Blue),  (2) a new 2003 Saleen S-281 non-s/c (white) or (3) a new 2003 anniversary Cobra.  Out the door prices are 1. $25,900  2. $31,640  3.  $33,588

The Mach is retro yes but is similar to my past Bullitt.  The Saleen has the look and ride I really like and the Cobra is just plain bad, add a few mods and it would be killer.

WHICH WOULD YOU BUY ????????????????

Thanks and Regards

you've got all the facts, it's just about how much you wanna spend.  recognize that na saleens are not a good value and are basically an overpriced slightly modded gt.  i'd go mach...DOHC, cool look, sweet color, sweeter price (for what you get it's probably the best value)

Since you don't seem as interested in speed as others, go with the Mach over the GT with a body kit and the faster, yet overpriced Cobra.

I have never owned a stang but I love the new look of the 2005. A friend of mine owned a stang 1989 5.0 liter and loved it. You might wait and check out the new 2005 stang before you buy. I am definately in the market for the new one coming out. Just a suggestion.

390 hp and 390 lb. ft torque.... a couple thou more for all that, plus it's a ten year anniversary. I think the collector value will be high for an 03 Cobra in my opinion because they're taking a break in 05 and coming back totaly differant, so I'd go with the Cobra for nostalgia purposses. Plus it's a Stang, you can't go wrong.
