my dad has a 1993 4x4 F150 with a 5.0 and auto tranny. he has been getting on me to find out if stang parts would fit and get more power?

a 302 is a 302. i don't think that you would have any problem bolting on parts

technically, a 302 is not a 302 but a 5.0 is a 5.0. LOL it should work!!

actually they make 2 different kinds of 302's (5.0).. the 5.0 and the 5.0 HO... Ford USUALLY kept the HO's strictly for stangs and such... but the reg 5.0 they put in all the OTHER cars.. for example my dads had an old 88 crown vic with a 5.0... not a 5.0 HO but still a 5.0...

Wasn't the only difference between the HO and the non-HO the heads and the compression? Or am I wrong?

cam is different. Throttle body is WAY smaller and faces the opposite side but all parts are interchangeable making a 5.0 a 5.0

well i changed the plugs and wires and that did it.. funny thing is when i pulled the old plugs out.... they looked fine.. maybe they broke down from the inside.... or maybe the wires did.. duno really all i know is that it runs smooth again...plus now i have 9mm red frpp wires... lol they look soo good...

did you not read what we posted in your other threads on this same topic?

yes you can just use a 86 HO cam, it will clear flat top pistons
