Default RE: SNOW TIRES.

any tire shop in your area should carry a set of agressive lug winter retreads for about $30-$40 apiece. they are really the best for snow traction and usually can be studded for better ice traction.

don't fall into "you need to get some Blizzaks" hype. i had a set of blizzaks as well as pirelli snow tires. they are not worth the $140/piece price.

the winter retreads and about 100lbs of salt or sand in the trunk will go as good as the best winter tire
