what's up man, im from newport news also. your best bet is gonna be a CAI and maybe a cat back exhaust. if you want some help lemme know i'll help you find something, and if you want i'll help put it in too.
,,,,,3.73s i been there.to much wheel spin, just lights them up and goes nowhere fast.
Sup i have had both and i would tell someone to get the 4.10s. Yes sometimes they spin alot but you buy some nice wider tires( 275/45) and some control arms problem is fixed. Also sometimes the wheel spin is from having too much air in the tires. Be sure you let some air out to prevent you from spinning for to long.
No i am saying that the 4.10s spin more then the 3.73s. But with the 4.10s the spinning can be fixed by nice wider tires for example (275/45) and some control arms. Also the air thing that i was talking about above.

well i have a 01 cobra i already have 275/40/17's in the rear but not planning on getting any control arms right now what would you recommend i want the best launch with the least spin
I like the 4.10s. Its not as much spin as everyone says but its a little more then the 3.73. It depeneds on what you want. The 3.73s are good on the streets and also good on the highway. The 4.10s are even better on the streets but not as good on the highway. I would still reccommend the 4.10s. If anyone thinks i am wrong please tell. and tell me why you think in am wrong. But cobra svt 33 i would go for the 4.10 and later buy a aluminum driveshaft and your acceleration would be amazing. I am still waiting for someone to make a aluminum one for my 99 cobra. And i have a company in flordia that works on just mustangs that are going to make me one and should be done testing it in about a month.
NO dude not that much of a difference. Its just if you don't downshift and just run it up in the same gear it will take a little longer with the 4.10 then the 3.73 (but who wouldn't down shift if already rolling especially on the highway)
Well man its up too you. If anything call mechanic from ford and ask them what they think. The mechanic that drives my car when something is wrong jumps in and always says damn i love those 4.10s. He has a 3.73 on his cobra and decided to switch to the 4.10s after driving my car. Good luck man

Order the new SLP loudmouth exhaust, and a triax. That puts you at about $675. I already have the triax for my 01 cobra, and will be orderind the exhaust soon. The SLP exhaust is brand new. It seems to be well built, lightweight, durable, and according to mm+ff sounds really ballsy. Not to mention it gave a blown GT over 11 rwhp.
The shifter will make you a better driver, and maybe save your tranny. A wise investment. Get it cheap from partshopper.com That's where I got mine. They sell it cheaper than steeda, and despite the fact that I ordered normal shipping, it was at my house two days after I placed the order online.
