Sup i have had both and i would tell someone to get the 4.10s. Yes sometimes they spin alot but you buy some nice wider tires( 275/45)and some control arms problem is fixed. Also sometimes the wheel spin is from having too much air in the tires. Be sure you let some air out to prevent you from spinning for to long. </P>

Peace</P>

hey 99 cobra so what your sayin is go with 4.10's cause when you had the 373's you spun more or too much<edited><editID>CobraSVT33</editID><editDate>38014.9472800926</editDate></edited>

No i am saying that the 4.10s spin more then the 3.73s. But with the 4.10s the spinning can be fixed by nice wider tires for example (275/45) and some control arms. Also the air thing that i was talking about above.</P>

sup,</P>

I like the 4.10s. Its not as much spin as everyone says but its a little more then the 3.73. It depeneds on what you want. The 3.73s are good on the streets and also good on the highway. The 4.10s are even better on the streets but not as good on the highway. I would still reccommend the 4.10s. If anyone thinks i am wrong please tell. and tell me why you think in am wrong. But cobra svt 33 i would go for the 4.10 and later buy a aluminum driveshaft and your acceleration would be amazing. I am still waiting for someone to make a aluminum one for my 99 cobra. And i have a company in flordia that works on just mustangs that are going to make me one and should be done testing it in about a month.</P>

Goodluck to you man Tell me what you get</P>

Sup, </P>

NO dude not that much of a difference. Its just if you don't downshift and just run it up in the same gear it will take a little longer with the 4.10 then the 3.73 (but who wouldn't down shift if already rolling especially on the highway)</P>

still would go with the 4.10 from ford racing</P>

Well man its up too you. If anything call mechanic from ford and ask them what they think. The mechanic that drives my car when something is wrong jumps in and always says damn i love those 4.10s. He has a 3.73 on his cobra and decided to switch to the 4.10s after driving my car. Good luck man</P>

Order the new SLP loudmouth exhaust, and a triax. That puts you at about $675. I already have the triax for my 01 cobra, and will be orderind the exhaust soon. The SLP exhaust is brand new. It seems to be well built, lightweight, durable, and according to mm+ff sounds really ballsy. Not to mention it gave a blown GT over 11 rwhp.</P>

The shifter will make you a better driver, and maybe save your tranny. A wise investment. Get it cheap from partshopper.com That's where I got mine. They sell it cheaper than steeda, and despite the fact that I ordered normal shipping, it was at my house two days after I placed the order online.</P>

Hope this helps</P>

I don't have a 99 but I have a 96 snake... Don't forget u don't want to much power without being able to put it down on the ground. I'd get some Wider Tires first... I have some 285/35zr18sin the rear on my car and they still spinpretty goodand i'm probably not pushing but 310 RWHP... I have stock gears too (3.27). The one thing that has helped me the most was a set of Granatelli Motorsports Double Adjustable upper control arms and Adjustable lower control arms. The nearly kill wheel hop and gave, i'd say, 65% better traction. But if ur just starting out and don't wanna do suspension go for exhaust, pulleys, MAF and Chip In that order... </P>

Hey white_96svt</P>

I was looking at your car and i noticed the cobra pedels. Where did you get those? Are they covers or actual replacements? Thanks for the info</P>

Hey 99,</P>

They are From mustangworld.com 's speed shop... http://www.mwspeedshop.com/ (http://www.mwspeedshop.com/ target=).... They are sort of covers but they are permenant... U drill holes in themetal originalpedals after removing the plastic cover... and thread each screw and then put the supplied screws in the holes you made... Its hard as a Mofo... I like the pedals the look good and they work great... but they were a real big hassel to put in... not to mention I still haven't put all 4 screws in each pedal if u look at the pic closely i'm sure u can see there are only like 3 screws in each pedal where there are 4 holes... its cause i had to use titanium drill bits to cut into the original pedals... and it was just too much trouble... it was hard as hell to push the pedal in and then drill it... so i just put 3... it holds perfect without the 4th one... so i just left... oneday i may finish the job.... In respect to mustang world they are great pedals and i wouldn't have anything but those... but if had to do it again i would just stick with the stock pedals... make sure u have a friend to help you if u plan on doing it... Best of wishes... later...</P>

Oh yeah I forgot to tell you... All the needed parts come with the pedals... which was a surprise to me... It comes with the thread die and the drill bits and the screws... which was grade a to me... but I used my own titanium bits because the other ones just didn't wanna go throught the pedal.... hope this helps... later

Hey man, thanks for the info i see what your saying about the screws. My friend ran into the same problem when he put his on his 95 prelude vtec. Yea i know its not a mustang but he had the same problems and sometimes thinks he should have just stayed with the stock pedals. Thanks again man</P>

Hey no problem any time... Yeah I can see how anybody would have those problems... especially a Manual Tranny Car... The Clutch was the main problem... the break was kinda hard and the gas was pretty easy... but that clutch pedal... wow... Never again... anyway take it easy...
