This guy is selling on MF so I was wondering. Said the box was custom built to fit in his stang that has the mach. Looks like the carpeted board style. Might be able to drop him down a bit.

i sell the stuff for a living and personally will not put anything in my car that is spelled too much like what dynamite does.... according to cea 2006 standards that amp probably makes about a third of the power it says on it.

It could be custom fited with 3/4" MDF and perfporm exactly the same. Qualtiy of the build aside, the material used to make the box (assume it is't tin foil) should make no difference in value.

Sony makes the $$hitiest car audio EVAR!!!! and legacy is an off brand so im not sure. Look in the amp, sometimes off bands say 1500 watts! and if you open the amp an look inside theres a 5lb weight and the electronics inside are no more than in a stock deck.....

sony is not crappy man... my bets freind has 2 of the pentagonal 12 inch subs and a 1200 watt amp and he has NEVER had a problem with any of the sony stuff... plus sony subd hit harder and clearer than most high brands like infinity, mtx, pioneer, and audiobahn(sucks very bad)

Sony makes cheap subs. My friend had some and threw them away. He didn't even try to resell them.

This guy believes these two Sony subs sound good. It is a fact that they do not, and it is a fact that they are terrible speakers.

Sony is garbage. I cant say that any clearer. If anyone thinks that Sony is good...just keep shopping at Walmart for your car stereo stuff and be content for life. To the best of my knowledge Legacy is the upper name brand of Pyramid. Not sure if anyone here remembers that junk or not. When it comes to car audio you simply have to pay the price for namebrand quality stuff. Stay away from SONY, Kraco, Audiovox, Pyramid, JENSEN, LEGACY and I am sure there are more. You can go as far as to look at the fuse rating. If its got a 20 for a fuse rating and puts out 1800 watts its incredibly over rated and I'm sure the distortion ratio is huge!!!! Good name brands keeping in mind this is all MY opinion are Memphis, Eclipse, Rockford Fosgate, Kicker, Orion Precision Power, and many others. However..even these name brands make some cheaper items. Good luck..but dont buy that ****-Shane

eh, um. ew. The sonys do get fairly loud (due to an 89 db sensitivity level) and also attributed to them being made out of plastic. But. They sound like crap... The second you turn them up it'll sound like your amp is clipping (although being a legacy amp, i woudln't doubt it) and your plastic cones will rattle Being $175, i would probably buy them, seeing as how they retail for $100 each. Expect to spend another $30 at least on an amp wiring kit and between $60 and $90 on installation (running the wires to the back of your car and getting it hooked up to your head unit) Then you have some nice bass to augment your music... just dont go around trying to pretend like you have the loudest system on the block If you're looking for a cheap system, go for it. If you're looking for a sweet deal on high end components, this isn't it.
