I'm thinking about putting a flowmaster series 40 on my 3.8 mustang anybody no how it would sound?

loud and kinda ricey. IMO, 50 series and the straight-thru designs sound cleaner.

Agreed, the sound of any car that isn't a V8 with loud exhaust gets that ricey tone to it.  Seems like I see more V6 camaros doing it than stangs.  You just can't beat the sound of a V8 stang with flowmasters and no cats.

That's on the opposite end of the spectrum (redneck).  I can say that...I'm originally from a small east texas town.

flowmaster 40's sound like every jacked up redneck truck in my town on a sixer they sound likke mettalic s**t. 50's sound gtreat on a v8, but they wouls sound ricey on yours. if you go with the flow go with 30's. theyre made for smaller engins and sound good. they growl under load and purr while cruising. i know. i had em before i got my bassanis
