i have an 88 gt and am going to get a catback exhaust.  Just was wondering which was a better all around choice the mac or flowmaster american thunder?

are you guys sure.  I heard flowmaster sound good but dont give much horsepower compared to others.  I want something that sounds good and gives a decent hp increase.

all wrong!! MACs are louder and flow much much better. plus flows are so common these days that the sound is almost boring. MACs are INSANE!!!

Are you freaging crazy or smoking crack, no exhaust systen setup will give you a DECENT increase in HP, stop dreaming..........

People are swapping over to Magnaflow X's, cat backs and mufflers.

They sound great and give more power than flowmaster.

Those screaming flowmaster have only had experiance with one brand.

I don't know if Magnaflows are gonna do it for him in an '88.  I think, and I hate to say this, that Flows really WERE king back then.


Although, NO2's set up sounds real nice!Wink

Thanks man.........I would like to know how my Magnflow O/R x pipe will sound  with a MAgnaflow catback....My catback is the stock one, now Im thinking about getting an aftermarket one........with 2.5 inches pipes..

What the hell......mufflers are mufflers, they don't care if they're bolted to a 5 year old car or 40 year old car. If by king, and you meant back in 1988, I can see that.

and how 88' has ANYTHING to do with 04', i'm not sure.  go with magnaflows, they've proven higher numbers.  i have flows, but that's b/c the previous owner put them on...not me.
