Ok im thinking about buying a 96 v-6 mustang and dropping a 5.0 in it. Will it fit right in? Also if it is a standard will that tranny work with a v-8? Also what are the bad sides of doing this, let me know what you think!

a 5.0 should fit in it cause they put them in the 95' whitch is the same body. however, you will have to mod a few things inside the engine compartment. (minor) other than that, slap a t-5, or a tremmic on that badass

what he said...what kind of 5.0 stock of modded.... if u use a modded one than use a fox motor that way u can use the comp from a fox... they r supposed to have a more aggressive fuel curve in them... good luck

Okay thanks but the 94,95, came with a 5.0 so i dont think that the engine would fit in because the throttle body and the intake manifold is diff, and it wont clear the hood. Let me know. I was going to but a new 5.0 with port and polished heads and new cams basically a perfromance engine would that qualify as a fox engine?

the 5.0 that came outta the 94 95 will slip right into a 96... same car jsut come with diff motor...what i mean wheni say fox motor is get a 5.0 out of a 89 - 93 stang... there r slight differences than that 5.0 outta a 94 95.... for one the intake doesn't have that stupid elbow.... basically used to clear the alternator...hiope this helps..

i am currently doing the swap. it is a little more involved than people realize. what kind of part do you already have to work with? obviously you need more than just the motor. i am about half way through my swap and i am waiting on parts to complete. but i took a different route, i am going with a carb  so i do not have to deal with the computer and harness bullsh*t. i weighed my options and decided that was the best way to go for me. PM me if you have any questions that i could help with.
