Default raced a Grand National tonight...

so yeah followed him on the highway and lined up at 50 mph. no one was in sight, not in the front nor the back. so i give it three beeps on the 3rd we both hit it and i pulled a car and held it for about 2-3 seconds than he walked me like no other. i mean he put 4 cars on me like i was standing still. so from 50-100 he ended up with the 4 cars. he had his wife and 2 kids in the back lol. they both were no older than 4. one was in a car seat lol.

only did one run cuz obviously another would have made no sense. he then got on the mass pike so i couldn't talk to him about it. i know they are fast but that turbo was LOUD i could hear it over my loudmouth 1's with my off road X. the thing smelled too but yeah i admit i got owned. i love the sound of the BOV though just not as its raping me. i am guessing this thing was a low 11 second player. he was from florida and im in massachusetts and the thing is mint absolutely gorgeaous. im most likely putting the car away within a week or so before the weather gets real bad with snow so hopefully i run into him in the spring or summer time

there's a guy 2 streets down from me that is suppose to be the grand national "guru" of the area, some guys drive 5-6 hours to get their grand nationals tunned and modded by him. once when i drove down his street there were about 2 dozens of them all lined up in front of his house ...pretty cool sight.

Haven't had the chance to run into one of those, but from the sounds of it I don't think I want to.

You very rarely ever see those things on the street. Good kill.
But WTF is up with him racing with his wife and kids in the car?

If you run into a stock or near stock one, you'll destroy it with the Vette. In stock form the '87, fastest year for the Turbo Regal, ran about 13.8-13.9 @ 100. My dad's GN, which is having some kind of stutter or miss, wasn't even that fast at the strip; I run mid-13's and I murdered him.
Two points to remember though:
1. In 1987, 13.8 @ 100 was blazing fast, nothing else stock could touch it.
2. Being turbo cars with a stout bottom end, they are very easily modded into the 11's and, with some internal work, 10's, and they'll still look and sound stock. You just never know.

yeah my bottle was pretty much empty so i didn't get that much hp ouuta the bottle. i didn't even feel my car kick like i usually do so it woulda been closer. i would love to race him from a roll but he had these sh!t tires on there so i don't think he would hook all that well. but yeah this thing was quick faster than i expected to be honest. i thought my car off the bottle woulda hung with him but apparently not. oh well i can't wait to see him again to ask him whats done to the damn thing.

They are much better from a dig than a roll; they're all automatics and are designed more for low-end torque (rated at 355 @ ~2000 rpms[:-]) than top end hp (rated at 245).
