What's a good brand to go with for radar detectors?

If u want the best, get the valentine 1 but its gonna cost you. http://www.valentine1.com/ has never failed for me, prolly saved from 20 tickets, alerts you like 1/2 - 1 mile before u even pass the cop, and tells you where they are.

I have used both the Valentine and the Passport 8500. I like the Passport better for these reasons. The Passport 8500 X50 seems to be better at picking up 'pop' radar. Also, with the Valentine, it seems to give you a lot more false alarms than the X50. They are the 2 best units around, and you really can't go wrong with either. But, the Passport is less expensive than the Valentine, so I think it is the best all around buy. I will never trade my Passport for anything else.

thats true, but most cops are sitting back drinking their morning coffee and eating their donuts so there to lazy ;)
