allright since im a poor little bastard im building my own cold air intake. i was thinking since the whole concept of a cold air intake is to get cooler air by bringing the intake farther from the engine. i was thinking about bringin the tube all the way down and mounting the filter in the fog light opening i was also going to get a Billit grill so you wont see the filter. after all this planing in my head i have a question, i live in so cal so its always hot if i put the intake so low would the heat from the street or freeway heat up the air around that area, ruining the whole point. Thanks

lt's a good idea, but l think the fog light opening is kinda small and you won't get a lot of air in. And like you said, you might draw in hot air.

i would think if you would put the intake somewhere else where it could more air. it would work because u would be moving so it wouldnt really get that much warm air. b/c when ur moving its kinda like the window bein down.

The superheated air is really only about an inch or less off the asphalt, so you'd be golden by the bottom of the bumper.

Grab some weather stripping. Grab a scoop, and a sawzall. Flip the lid of your airbox upside down, so it's facing the hood. cut a hole where it mates up. Rivit down the scoop. Seal it up, put a filter in the top of the lid.

Best inention for cold air yet.....the hood.

Yeah, it's not that hard to do.. I built one for my GT, but I have a Cobra R Front Bumper so it made it easier...
