Cold Air

I was thinking about this on the way to work this morning. There ought to be a way to get cold air to our carbs. I am envisioning some sort of plastic tubing similar to the KYN type of hook up like is on my 03 Mach.
Run that out the front somehow. Maybe even into the inner fender like the 90's models have. But, the catch would be how to attach it to the carb. I can't quite get a grip on that design yet. Help me out here all you wizards. Here is one such experiment that gets us started in the right direction. http://carcraft.com/techarticles/56419/

I/m still digging. We are heading in the right direction. Here is a way we can hook it up to the carb, a major break-through. http://www.superiorairflow.com/extreme_velocity.htm

That looks pretty cool! Someone needs to do a before and after dyno test after building one to see if its really helping any.

They did, and it showed a significant gain. We all know that cold air induction is best, we just have to figure out how we can get that cold air to our carb systems.

Yeah, now we just need to find a cold air intake that will fit in the engine compartment of a mustang.

BTW that carb attachment is quit expensive. Must have had a lot of R&D put into it.

RE: Cold Air

I thought the hook uo to the carb was the answer to that connectin. The only missing link is a way to get the air from the outside.

Yeah sorry, that wasnt too clear. That's really what Im talking about. Some kind of tube with a cone filter on the end. It really should go off the passenger side and take air from the battery vent (permitted that you relocate the battery).
