The Ford T-Lok is perfectly fine for the street. The average V6 owner isn't going to be doing burnouts on a regular basis (especially those with automatics) or running 250+ horsepower, and the 7.5" T-Lok will hold up just fine.
I have a mac CAI and shorty headers, true duels, 25% underdrive pulley, and a custom tune on 93 octane gas. I think I'm prolly sitting at about 215-220 hp. Right now I can get 1 wheel burnouts pretty easily (especially with the colder weather). I'm just looking for some better traction and a quicker take off. I am not planning to add any major power adders like SC or TC (this is my daily driver). so I think the ford T-Lok should be ok for me. Thanks for the help btw guys.
wats the top speed with 4:10s and at wat rpm? i think i seen on this post that w/ a tuner u can take the limiter off, if so then wat would be the top speed w/ and w/out gears?

Every1 makes fun of people who drive V6 mustangs, but havin us around jus makes people with a GT feel cool!! If we all had a V8 then owning 1 wouldnt mean anything!!
I don't know what the top speed will be with 4.10s, but right now I can bury the needle past 120 mph if I have a good, long, open stretch. At that speed the rpms are around 4k with stock gears.

Avoid buying your gears from National Drivetrain. Their gears don't fit in our stangs and it cost me $100 for shipping and my stang hanging in the lift for 5 days because their MotiveGear3.73 dont fit! Refund is a pain in the a## charging me $100 bucks for shipping as if it's my fault why I bought my gears through them. BADDD customer service so beware!

How did the gears not fit? A 7.5 is a 7.5 there is no variation, unles they sent/you ordered 8.8's. I'm not doubting you or them, I just want to make sure the facts are straight before people read this. I've had gears from them with no problems whatsoever.
My mechanic thinks its a manufacturing defect because the product I ordered online is for the 7.5 3.73 gears. My mechanic even talked to the customer rep on the phone.
