red is always a good choice, i kinda like that grey/silver color eleanor has too, or maybe black. Those were my 3 choices before i got mine painted. Went with red, looks real nice, no regrets

True Blue Pearl.. that the color of my z28...its an awesome color... Dark midnight blue with lots of metallics and changes to purple cause of the pearl in it

My dad has a '66 coupe and it's the original red. It looks sweet... can't go wrong with red on an old stang.

My `66 HT is British Racing Green Metallic and it suits the car great. The particular color was an option on `96 and `97 Toyotas. I think the color code was "6p3 racing green"

I've always thought that canary yellow would be a great color for an old mustang. If I ever get my 69 shelby it's gonna be that color w/black stripes.

No Way... No offence hotrod, but black is no good for a '66. It just doesn't show the lines jof the car well enough. JMO. My vote is for the Darker Blue!

Rather than a black with silver, I'd go with black with white...that's the plan I have for my 68. Plus, a black/white pony interior would really set it off, plus darker colors really accentuate the trim pieces in my opinion.

I have a 65 Mustang being restored. I have owned this car for over 25 years and I had it painted embergo twenty five years ago. Now that I am getting a ground up restoration I like you need to make the final decision.. what color....it was a blue/green color that I just hate. I have decided that no matter how much it affects the value..
EMBERGLO IT WILL BE that is my vote. it is a really nice color if you have a black interior.[

I have a 65 fastback and will be painting it this summer Zambezi Silver (2004 Ranger Rover color) with the black GT stripe.
