hey, ive got a stock 00 gt 5-spd other than an intake. i got 2 guys that work with me that think they can take me. both of them have never driven anything but a lexus in their life. one has an auto gs400 that thinks he will "leave" me cuz he has an 04 and i have an 00 and he said you cant beat an 04 with an older car haha. the other has an auto rx300 and said he will take me cuz lexus has the best technology. i asked the one with the rx300 if he would drive a viper, corvette, or a 600hp cobra and he said never cuz american cars suck and are slow. so thats what i deal with everyday and theyre always to busy to race. am i going to get killed by either one or both? if so what do i need to take them? thanks

U mean RX 300 as in the AWD SUV? Thats freakin retarted. Those things are slow as balls. You will embarrass the crap out of that 220hp 5000lb SUV. Thats just plain dumb. The only thing that car could beat you in is braking distance. The most amazing brakes ive ever seen. Stomp them both and tell us about it.

As far as lexus.com says, they didnt make a 400 series car in 2004. In the past they have made a gs400 with 300hp and a sc400 with 290. both of them would give you a pretty good run

My fiancee drives a Lexus RX300 and you have nothing to worry about there, its not a vehicle built for speed. The GS on the other hand might be a problem (and by the way if it is an '04 then it is a GS430, 98-00 GS400 and 01-04 GS430). Both the GS engines are V8's (4.0L and 4.3L) and both put out 300 HP. They are pretty heavy, but also put out some pretty good 0-60 numbers for what they are. I've have seen a video of a stock GS beat a Mustang before.
