Well dude you do. Off the line you will be neck and neck since both of you have appox. the same 0-60 time, but in the long run your 4 extra cylinders will kick in and it'll be all over.

Wow...I can't believe someone would go around talking ish to a GT with a bone stock Cobalt. What is the world coming to? All these 4 banger douches want us to respect something other than a V8. Well Jesus Christ, respect the f'ing V8 power. Make him lick your shoe or something after you slap him.

i wouldn't even waste my gas on that. make sure you get something out of it. you know damn well he's gonna have like a dozen excuses lined up for when he loses.
if it's truelly a stock base Cobalt SS I should hope you beat him. Those cars are under-rated though and do have pretty significant factory upgrade packages available some that put the car over 300hp. It's somewhat rediculous. Hopefully he didn't order one of those when he bought the car or you might be in trouble.
I'd take your chances race him and claim your territory.
Or be the mature one who simply knows the other is foolish, let him and the rest of the school go on believing what they wish to believe and hope to someday run into him by chance on the road and set him straight. This is what I did in my high school when everybody thought the fastest car was some kids Civic Si- I knew full well that my car wasn't the fastest but I was thought of to have an extremely slow car who was a joke. I beat him in a race a number of months after the rumors had began and had a number of witnesses, since we were just leaving school, and nobody hyped me up but nobody gave me crap anymore. Most importantly I proved to myself that I wasn't a joke. High school- those were the days.

my gf is still in HS. you should see the looks and comments i get when i pick her up some days. these are kids that think riced out cars with body kits = lots of HP. i get a lot of "wanna race?" comments when i'm waiting. damn kids!

i have seen them with minor work, and theyve been no where near the 13s...you should be well into the 13s...so even if he has some work done, you may not destroy him, but you should surely beat him. do you have the good driver mod?
