first run he just spun the tires, second he got traction

Yeah I remember hearing about the turbo Cobra not getting full traction till over 100 mph.

A twin turbo Cobra will easily out dyno that Camaro, but turning it into acceleration takes more than raw boost.

MM&FF got 670 rwhp on a twin HPI system at only 11.7 psi. That number climbs to 800 at only 14 psi. Try that in a stock LS1.

how long does it honestly take a cobra to reach 3000rpm to be in full boost? once there, i highly doubt you'd drop below that during shifts. :D

i know what you're saying... a KB will get the jump, but against a big hp turbo(s) it shouldn't be enough. also like nanaki said once you're there it stays there. damn the non ford guys come out of the woodwork when you post! :D

I'm not sure what happened on the first race. We went from a slow roll, and I'm sure Bill had some traction issues. But, that's were my advantage is, slow rolls. When we went from 45, Bill showed me that was his advantage lol, that Cobra has one hell of a top end!!! I raced a single Turbo '04 Cobra (HellionCobra,860rwhp) and he didn't do that to me. I actually beat him 3 out of 5 times.

His car is pumpin 400 and something to the wheels with his cams and blah blah blah, He is beating all these faster cars by using juice.So off the juice its really nothing speacial then a 400hp ls1

I guess it could be from the power curves......all of my power hits at once, at 3200 rpm, it takes a little bit for the turbos to spool. So I jump out immediatly. That is the only logical explanation I've thought of. But, I have beaten modded '03-'04 Cobras on just motor. And they are making quite a bit more power than me. For instance, I just raced an '04 Cobra last weekend, he had a pulley, cold air, catback and off road h pipe. He said he was in the mid 400's for hp, and just under 500 in tq. I put about 3 cars on him. LS1's have never been dyno queens (not saying anyone here is), they perform better than what the dyno says. Honestly, I have raced people that I just knew were gonna hand me my ass, but I won. It doesn't really make any sense to me either.

I have a cam, lt's, full bolt ons and nitrous (200 shot). Stock heads, stock shortblock, stock intake manifold,stock tranny (besides a shifter & clutch), and stock rearend.

My next mod is definitly gonna be a moser 9" with 3.73's and some suspension (k-member/a-arms, control arms, torque arm, 6 point cage, and subframes. Then slicks and skinnies. I'm hoping to run it like that for a while, then move up to a 408 stroker and a dual stage 300, with some good flowing heads/intake.

65mm i think....and a 70mm is not big for a v8, it dont take long at all to hit boost on a 70mm..... get into the 90's then its gettin big

Fast car bro, I love it, one of my best friends is a hardcore LS1 guy. But as I tell him and everyone else, GM makes strong, great performing engines
with hideous, I mean UGLY exterior. The interior's crack and fall apart, plus its as plain as a 90' cavalier. I like to have my car look good, performance to my satisfaction plus not fall apart.

I was actually lookin to get an SS (mainly for the power), somehow I got over the exterior look and then sat in one, I felt like I was in my uncles 300 beater.

U dont even know me you tard! I was the first to offer your buddy to a race and he backed out. Thats that. If he does decide to show up here then we will race. He has family here, I have nothing there but a group of losers that bows to a Fbody. When he does show up, we will race from a dig. I certainly hope his little 10 bolt is up for it.

But If you want to say he backed out, then we can say you backed out also. Plus I believe next time he passes through he will be more than happy to race you, but till then STFU. Im tired of your, HE BACKED OUT, noise. I really like your car, but you have a bad additude and you think you are untouchable. And in no way am I a huge fan of the LS1, I like them. But I am a fan of the 2JZ (1000 whp stock block :D).
