Do 94's and 96's have the same horse power or the 94's faster?

288ft/lbs @ 3300 RPM

4.6'
215hp @ 4500 RPM
290ft/lbs @ 3250 RPM

Very close. You have to take into consideration torque curves and stuff. POWER FOR POWER THEY ARE =

if the 94 is stock and you have them 3.73s, i'd put my money on your 96. :)

goin to the track on friday my buddy has a 94GT with exhaust and 4.10s, were gonna race, ill let you know who wins

If by a little bit u mean 4 pounds, than yes.
95 gt----> 3281
96 gt---->3278
(got these specs from www.msnauto.com )
The 5.0 makes more power at lower rpms which will give it the advantage off the line. Seeing that he has 4.10's and u have 3.73's, if he can launch, he will take you from the start and probably hold u off.
