Default Dyno results!!!

Just got my car dyno'd Sat and pulled in a 208.9 hp @ 5250 RPM and 219.1 lbs of torque @ 3750 and a 14.3 1/4 mile
I have 2005 Mustang GT cat back duals which I got about 6-8 hp from but the big gain came from my CAI from Tunable Induction and an XCal tune from Blow by Racing. Tha new cold air looks and works great and TI has a great product and price. Here's some images of my original Dyno and my new dyno Sat (thanks to Greg @ Auto Specialty in Lafayette In) plus a pic of the system on my car. PM me if you have any questions

Wow! Hard to believe you got that much power and that 1/4 mile time from those mods.

Well hate to say this again, but all cais do the exact same thing, so no one is really better than another so my advice is to go with the cheapest one you find, just make sure it doesn't look cheap because if it does then you might have problems.

your breaking my heart here jthorn9. [sm=smiley19.gif] I like the way the MMR and Tunable Induction look because they have the intake pipe with them. I think everyone knows that there is not much gaines between different CAI's. I'm just seriously considering the Tunable Induction CAI because it's cheeper ($220?) and has a tube. I would like to have the MMR CAI, but not for $350. [sm=vader.gif]

Yes and no
Yes they do the same thing increase better air flow but no, in the fact that materials of construction (i.e. metal sucks since it retains heat and cooler air is better) filter size, tube size, heat sheilds help some also, all affect how much and the quality of air that gets to the intake so getting the cheapest isn't always the best but yes the priciple is the same

Well don't get too upset, because I was just warning against "some" ebay cais. Now most cais off of ebay are great others have mounting problems and or are made out of cheap materials which can cause performance problems so reading the feedback is crucial. But this cai kit looks good, still a little expensive though, but good. If you can find one for cheaper and its good buy it.

cheysdaddy Congrats on the HP gain Exc. But (BIG BUT) I cannot believe the 1/4 mile of 14.30 do not know how accurate thier Dyno is for that, if you ever run it at the strip please post your times. You did an Exc job on the HP & TQ gain with those mods no doubt and should be happy its just the 1/4 times I have alot of doubt about.
