Bring ur camera and ur stang....and back all the BS up. Cobra and higher...cost....35 to 40 thousand? And my 28 Thous $ car runs with them. A cobra "NEW" COBRA will hand me my as$ most likely. But im up 4 a run. Anything lower save ur breath.

a cobra has an invoice price of $31,097. And what do u drive? WRX? $25,045(easily raped by a GT with the same cost) And if you drive an STI $32,445(easily raped by a 2003/2004 cobra for less money.)
The comparable mustangs and subaru's are basically the same price. If one is higher than the other its the WRX. What a queer. And you say u (cursh) (whatever that means) 5.0's all the time, they have 215hp. WOW your car is a beast. You will not take a stock of GT from a roll.
A new cobra would DEMOLISH any stock subaru EVER! The STI does not even have a chance in ****, so why would u even comment on that. If a car says mustangGT/Cobra on it please save your self the embarassment, and do not race it. Please move to Australia.

I've always been one to give props where props are due, especially when it comes to Mustang kills over WRSexes/STIs. But I'm going to seriously have to disagree with stock GTs being fast. I haven't driven in an 05 GT so I won't pass judgement on those, but I did drive a 2002? I think. I was seriously unimpressed with how much torque it had, especially for a V8. I really think stock for stock from a dig a WRX would win and probably also from a 20mph-30mph roll. Maybe from a highway roll the GT would have the advantage.
Like I said I'm not one to start flames, I really respect Mustangs. I do disagree from having driven both cars though that the GT is faster. I've driven a stock STI but not a stock Cobra so I couldn't comment on those two, but I'd give it to the Cobra purely due to the STIs gearing and lack of stock top end.

You forgot the 1k gas guzzler tax on the 03 cobras, and the 1k gas hike on the base invoice because they did away with the guzzler "tax".
Oh and I can't believe that you think a 99-04 GT will rape a WRX.

Ok, I agree with all of that. I didnt know anything about the Gas Tax? Im sorry about the WRX and GT comment. I was comparing My car to my roomates Stock WRX. I know for SURE i could take him from a roll and dig. He dont know how to launch, so that would change with a better driver. With an experienced driver, the WRX could probably get pretty close to getting the GT in the 1/4. After that i think it wouldnt be so close.

Ok enough BS then. I raced a 2005 GT with Headers and back. FUll exhaust system. It was at Beaver run in PA. I kicked the Gts as$ no lie. Now the 04 my buddy has one and I beat him by 3+ car lengths from a stop. Manual vs Manual. From a roll I pull about 2 cars. 5.0 yea there not as fast as ppl think they were. THEY USED TO BE FAST. back in 80s. Im not Bsing when I claim to own 5.0s and New to late GTs. Cobra diff story, there SVT "SPECIAL" meaning its a high performance car. that cost allot more than mine. I paid 28 for my car since it the Limited edition. Ppl under estimate the 06 wrx I will be sure to video tape the next race with my buddy. Maybe that will show you that these cars are faster than you think.
I got a full tubro back exhaust at the moment and engine management on the way. Im looking at a nice increase in performance. I took out 2 STIs with my 06, yea they were stock and Im lightly modded. Respect it, they got more power now. Live with it I will beat all mustangs with " Small mods and of course depends on driver " Anything Higher than a GT... " Cobra and Bullit " I did not try yet. I respect the CObra and other models but im sorry to offend anyone. The GT/5.0s are not holding up there heritage and have no power. Now Cobra I respect them cars. I plan to purchase one very soon, I will meet up with anyone here in PA area at a local drag strip to prove my self. So enough Bashing me, untill you actually drive one or race one and your not going to BS about it. Please respect a car when respect is due.
ZW99GT- You sound like a little kid? How old are you. Give respect when it is due. Im not asking for another blow out argument just a simple fact that your making your self look like an ass when you never attemped to race an 06. And if you do or did good luck with the run and may the best driver win.

I am 19 years old. I have driven my 99gt for 2 years. I have only raced one WRX and i won. It is an 05 with catback. I agree that i have way more mods then him, and he was very inexperienced. So obviously, I was supposed to win.
When i think of Subaru, I think of very sweet cars. AWD is awesome! Sometimes. lol. I think of pretty decent HP, with terrible drivetrain loss. A WRX owner stated that a WRX dynoed at 180. That sounds about right with the amount of drivetrain loss. I do not think they are faster than a GT. I just cannot give the win to 180hp and 170ft/lbs(guess) of torque over the GT. Ill admit they launch great, but after that in a straight line, they were not made for that. Thats all i can say.
The 06 is a freaking beast. I apologize to 2KGT and 2000si. I had no clue that these cars were that fast. At NASOIC there was supposedly an 06 WRX bone stock that went 13.4 in Memphis Tennessee. If that is true, great for Subies, thats VERY quick. I would love to have one. The 05's were not the same car. I really like those cars, but i do not think they are comparable to the GT in a straight line. MAybe im wrong.

you guys do know that 2 valve 4.6 GTs are not fast, right?

I drove a cople of WRXs too, before I bought my car and a guy here at work has an '03 (i think it's an '03). they are not real fast either. 6 of one/half dozen of another.
I picked the GT because it didn't look like I should have a babyseat in the back.
I own the 06 and it is modified. There for it is not a 2.0 and the hP and TQ are way higher with the 06's. The 1/4 mile time I ran a 13.7 in mine. And i am somewhat decent at launching at that time. now im sure i can do allot better. Especially with the new mods. I just want one of you to meet up with me so I can prove that these cars are not as slow as some ppl think
I accept the appology thank you. Check out the 06s a little more and you will see they have a good bit of potential.
Anyone looking for a Diablo Predator? I got mine still and I sold the stang. make an offer only used 2 times before I sold car. Once to do a tune and once to remove it. Thanks all

2000si can say this b/c he has a Honda. You on the other hand cannot. An 06 WRX gets 20mpg/26mpg while an 06 GT gets 17/25. Thats not that big of a difference. Once you start messing with all that boost crap you will not be getting as good milage at all. Your AWD makes that 4 banger work pretty damn hard considering it barely gets 20mpg in the city. I really like your car, the new WRX's really suprised me, along with everyone else! lol. They are not made for straightline racing, but somehow they do it quite well.
Mustangs arent as badass as they used to be? WTF with each progressing body style, the Mustang is getting faster and faster. Just think of the timeline. Foxbody, SN95, New Edge, 05-06. each year the Gt as well and V6 and Cobra are packin more power each time the style changes.
Im not arguing with you, just trying to figure out where in the world you are coming up with this stuff?
Subaru doesnt get good gas milage, and Stangs are getting more and more badass by the minute!

I humiliated an 04 srt-4 and an STi(don't know what year) both on the same night, it felt great. I wasn't sure if I'd win but I'm a good sport, neither of them were.
