i never really drove my car stock so its hard to say 2000si.. I live in VA i only have snow couple months out of the year, max. Dont have to worry about handling in the snow. And if i did live where it snows 6 months out of the year then i would drive my american truck... and still drive my cobra when its nice out

FWIW, my car does WAY better than my truck in the snow... heheh
The import vs. domestic thing is kind of a moot point. I have a lot of respect for fast cars of all sizes, engines, origins. Keep in mind some "domestic" cars are powered by foreign parts. They're just rebadged as American cars.
There are really ugly, slow imports and really ugly, slow domestics. To group all domestics or imports together and generalize is kind of counterintuitive. You never know when you're on the street and could get smoked by a blown and nitrous'd V8 or a four-banger with a turbo the size of a nutsack with elephantitis.

panasyncp17, you goofed up. You didn't get a WRB WRX. WRXTranceformed here did the right thing. He got the best color.
and what is that I see in the garage panasyncp17? Is that a Ford? And you call yourself an import enthusiast. Shame on you.

they only make so much profit. A lot of that money stays in the US because a lot of imports are actually built in the US by US workers.

the production part of a product is not all of the cost. All of the people who get the big pay (CEO, COO, other execs and Engineers) are in japan. Do you know how corporations work, 2000si? The Stock of any Japanese company is where the real profits go. When you buy a japanese car, the japanese profit every time.

It hurts me to say but it is possible for the Cobra to lose. It weighs so much more. People forget how much a difference weight plays in a race.
Do people forget how much the AWD WRX weighs? 3085
Do people even know how much the cobra weighs? 3364
For all the mathmaticians here that 279lbs. Not even close to enough to make up for 80hp
Do people forget that the WRX puts down a massive 217ft/lbs of torque?
Stock 03/04? Weight is 3668 coupe. No fluids or fuel or person inside.
