Ok today going back to school during lunch i pulled up along side a BMW M3, and i looked over at him and he takes off, he slows back down and gets along side me, and we go, we started at about 55mph or so and i just gave up at 90mph, he was at least 10car lenghts ahead of me. Anyone know what those cars got under the hood, cause he blew my ass away! It looked new so prolly a 2003 or 04.

You messed with the wrong BMW. If it starts with an M, youre getting smoked. Those things are rated at 3.2L 333 hp I6. You were absolutely hammered before you even thought about racing. Those cars are sweet! Nice try though. Next time pick a 330 or Z3 or anything besides that thing

he hit it right on the dot. no M's, only 3XX. the 3 series drivers are usually always cocky and give you a run. M3 is mach1 and 99+ cobra territory.

yeah, M3's are wicked. even the older ones, but the new ones, yeah, dont go up against one unless youre pushing at least 350hp. theyre stout lil bishes stock. theyre made to handle, and made to go fast. the best of both worlds.

Meh, I got a test drive in my supervisor's 02 M3. It had the SMG tranny and the whole 9. I was really unimpressed with the power delivery and the amount of torque it had. It had a pretty smooth power band all the way to redline though.

I guess I'm a little spoiled by my car =p

i drove a 98 M3 and that thing was quick. cant imagine the 333hp Ms. ? i want 2 race one so badly. even if u were to supercharge a 96 stang GT u wuld only get 280hp and still get beat. those things are so quick. those things are built for high speeds. amazing machines!!!!!

Thanks bro =D After the custom dyno/road tune, the car really is a monstrosity... but I'm already wishing I had put in an even bigger turbo heheh. It pulls hard all the way to redline. Right now I'm running on the 2nd most aggressively tuned map, at 17 psi, and in this cooler weather it pulls like it's on crack. The most aggressive map pushes 19+ psi.

I think the thing I was most impressed about with the 2002 M3 was the overall look of it, as well as the fit and finish on the interior. It is really to die for, so sexy inside and out. Everything about it just screams quality engineering.
