hello there and thank you for the welcome. found this site while looking for parts for my car. i have a 89 lx convertable 5.0. it's from new mexico so the car is rust free under and around. strong runner. i had a 93 notchback a while ago and had to get rid of it due to a growing family. but i managed to talk my wife into letting me buy this one. how can she refuse the rumble of a 5-0 with the top down. anyway i plan to keep this one as simple as possible. maybe a few bolt-ons. we'll see. glad i found this site and look forward to talking to you all. take care.

Thank you for the warm welcome! After browsing several Mustang websites, this one appeals to me the most. Now for why I'm here: We recently acquired ( for a song ) a 1993 Mustang hatchback 2-door with 138,000 miles on it. The engine purrs, it accelerates like a dream, and I've grown to LOVE this little car!! Now for the amusing part. Stupid me failed to engage parking brake, and said Mustang went on an unescorted field trip. Driver's side door was ajar, and is now no longer one with the car. Broken OFF! We were having difficulties with the latches already. The question is will it be less expensive to replace or repair ? The door is intact as is the window glass - just wonder if it's possible to re-attach. Secondly, we had the clutch cable replaced a mere one week before this little mishap, and shifting my little beauty into reverse became a two handed job. What do you make of this, and what did the bonehead who "fixed" it do wrong?
