Greetings,

I just have just purchased my wife her dream car... a red 66 mustang... for 1500.. in no uncertain terms it is a rust bucket and out here in Florida rust is pretty painful. But on lighter news, she wants to learn how to restore it with me, so that means there will be women in my garage ( grins). anyway I will post some pics cuz there are too many problems to list.. I plan on pulling the I6 and going with a 289. Being a mopar guy myself I don't really know the blue oval motors. I was asking around and someone said I could get a 351 windsor in it . Would this require major, or minor modifications? Thank you for making a great forum for thr passing of expertise with mustangs. I previewed your forums before joining. Wonderful site

Casey

Hello, all.

I am brand new to this forum and I am getting ready to own my first V8 powered mustang. I have wanted one for years but it was not economically feasile until recently. I am planning on buying used; probably a 1989-1995 unless I get adventurous and step up to a 99-up. Gotta love those PI heads! Looking foward to meeting all of you and learning, laughing and whatever else happens on here. Will be asking buyers advice real soon. Until then; Pony Up!

Hello my name is Brad and i live in Danville, KY I myself have a 2001 red 3.8L Mustang w/ Rag Top, I also bought my wife an 87 5.0 red w/ a Rag Top. The only thing that wrong with the 87 is i wrecked it a week after i got it for her. I was driving it in the rain and some moron cut me off and i rear ended him. As all of use mustang owners know when it rains it like driving on ice. I bought all new parts to go on the 87 just have not had the time to fix it yet. now to the 01 i was driving it friday the wife and i went to get our baby girl from school shes 17 and we were taking her car shopping. She said so dad get on it for me and i did i past a few cars got it up about 115 MPH. as i top camp Nelson Hill in Jessamine County a state trooper was waiting on me. i was still running 70 when i got to the top of the hill he pulled me over and said boy i have had complants on you all the way from Garrard County. I later found out that Boyle,Jessamine and Garrard county PD was looking out for me. After i got my ticket and pulled back on 27 every cop i passed was giving me "the look". lol i loved it it was well worth the ticket. the 2001 is all stock for now i think all im going to do it is put on flow masters. now 87 is different once it gets done ill post pics. I want to join the mustang Mafia of KY and so does my wife (Michelle)! Please e-mail us on how to join the club. we have already talked about this and want to get MUSTANG MAFIA on our front windsheilds asap. Please email me @ my87mustangisred@yahoo.com or call 859.533.7893 after 4:30 pm. Michelles e-mail is swtchrrystang@mikrotec.com. Thanks for your time and support.

Hello, my name is William, i live in the East of France, in Haguenau. I have a '05 mustang GT convertible. It's an exocti car in France, it's very rare. The price is doubled by report with that of the USA (47 000 Euros - 58 000 dollars), and it's very difficult to approve it and register it. but as I love this car... But I don't understood how to insert an image ... sorry !

Hey all. I sold my 2005 RX8 Shinka 6MT and purchased a Tungston Silver 2006 Mustang GT Coupe. I've been a member of the rx8club.com for over a year and had great success with that forum. I am hoping to have an even better experience here as I bought this car and intend to do a lot with it over the next few years.

I have a 66 coupe, it has some speedo noise
Could be a dry gear or cable

Can I lube from behind gauge panel ? or best remove cable ?

Can someone advise befor I attack it.
