I understand that. LOL I do have the IRS brace coming in the mail and im hoping to get my bonus soon so I will be saying hello to the bushings and the Level 5 half shafts. I was going to do the 8.8 swap (and its still in the back of my head) but my buddy is pulling 1.70 short times on the stock IRS with just the IRS brace and bushings. If I could pull a 1.7 with an 18 lb pully then I would definetly be in the mid 10's. God only knows what I would run with the IRS upgraded and the 25 lb pully installed with race fuel.

Well my problem is that im not on stock suspension. Im sitting on 2" lowering springs. No weight trasfer what so ever. So needless to say that it would be very ignorant of me to race anyone from a dig. Remember that little game "Sit N Spin"? Thats me!.

ORIGINAL: 97_GT_Muscle Hell, I will only run JDan for money (big bucks) or pink slip and I will even arrange for him to use a set of good drag radials if he can't get any. I'll let you in on a little secret though (don't tell JDan....lol), I am having my blower pulley changed out as we speak, which will net me an additional 3 - 4 pounds boost (approximately 60 horsepower) and I will be running him with ice in my innercooler (another 50HP, this has been confirmed on the Dyno). These additions will likely put me into the high 10 second category, which is what JDan should run if he can cut his 60 down to 1.8 from the 2.3 that he reported. For every 1/10 second you cut from the 60' time equates to 2/10 second off the ET. Let's get it on JDan... that is if you are willing to risk losing your Cobra. Hell, in fact maybe we can get the Speed channel's "Pinks" show to lets us do this on the air. I'll put my 97 Stang with the $24K Sean Hyland custom built stroker motor up against that Ford built Cobra engine in a heartbeat. Not to sound cocky... but SHM is a joke. I will get my suspension done sooner or later and will be more than happy to honor your challange. Why would you say that SHM is a joke? I know that Joe said didn't like Sean's book and SHM did have an issue with high HP blocks coming apart in the beginning but that was a LONG time ago and they were highly tuned engines which were pushing the limits of the parts. They were experimenting to see how cheaply they could offer high output engines to people like me. They have addressed the problems and they consistantly build badass cars and great engines. I have seen plenty of them around here and they own the track whenever they show up. I have never seen one have a problem on the quarter or on the road course even after taking all kinds of abuse. SHM is actually located about 45 minutes from me and I have been talking to them in depth lately because I am interested in getting them to work on my car. BTW - Ever heard of this guy? Doesn't sound like a joke to me. John Mehovitz - Fastest 4.6 Modular Engine In The World 6.65@210mph - NHRA Record Holder - Winners use SHM 4.6 Power John, Mehovitz, the world's fastest 4.6 drag car makes more than 1700hp from only 281 cubic inches! John has relied on SHM engines using exclusive SHM products like our dual valve spring kit, billet camshafts and 300M connecting rods to product the incredible power that he makes, reliably. John has consistently been the worlds fastest 4.6 for over 7 years running - relying on SHM 4.6 Power all the way.
