headers, synthethic oil, tornado, high po intake manifolds and carb its prob not on the budget line but also not that expensive. better fuel, hipo fan, theres allot of litlle things u can do to increase horse power.

There's always NOS, maybe not best way to go but does pump up hp considerably. That is if you dont mind not keeping it somewhat orginal

Intake and carburator. then if you still want even more power you can go for the more serious stuff like a cam or new heads.

There is no way I'd run a shot on that car  Just get some headers, Magnaflows, Maybe heads and a cam.  No N2O on that motor, and no Tornado like someone said... they are cheap but they don't do anything.  Hell, they'll restrict you before they will help you.

Heres my 2 cents cam, intake, and exhaust. Others have said to use headers< but consider hipo manifolds once on they wont leak. I currently run headers and hate them. My intake setup is a factory 4bbl intake wit a 600 holley vac secondaries, nothing exotic but gave the 2bbl motor a nice boost without breaking the bank. I dont remember my cam specs but it is comparable to the 271hp grind very drivable through the rpm range. This spring the headers go byebye for the hipo manifolds. I'm also thinking about a petronix since my points float at about 5000r's. As for performance I can pass without downshifting the secondaries open and your gone. The best part for me is the whole thing looks stock, which it is except for the engine code of C instead of Aor K. Messing with heads is good, but I think overkill for a decent street car though porting is free the only cost is gaskets. SB fords are nice motors to work with since they are light and compact unlike my personal favorites the FE.
