like i said before converted, i never meant that a motor COULDN'T be blown with a blower, I just said I've never seen one, which is the honest truth. And just like I've been saying, blowers dont kick in until you get on the gas hard. I test drove a new 2003 cobra with the roots supercharger and the boost meter never moved until I punched it a little. Bottom line, Nitrous is much harder on a motor. And jeep, we're talking about street cars here, not built 454's that are made for the nitrous. Stock motor to stock motor - supercharger is easier on the motor and a much better way to go for the money.

oh, and by the way mustanggtrocks, what do you do on here? Is the only thing you post are one lined comments just to get your number of posts to read high? Just curious, but you make A LOT of replys that are usually one word comments. I don't care, just curious...

Balrox...what you need to do is shift at about 6000 RPM's instead of 5500. You have to wind these 4.6 motors up and when your shifting at that RPM it's dropping you down at a lower RPM than your buddy. Try that and I think you'll find your a little closer this time. And don't worry about blowing it up Ford has a limit that cuts the motor out around 6100-6200. One other thing the stock tach is rarely right either, usually on the low side.

you will notice the biggest difference in power with a gear i know i did do a 3:73 or maybe a 4:10 but get soft rubber to go with that or you will just spin.

I have this to say, when you add any horse power too a stock motor, its not if it's going to blow, it's when!!!!!

And I have to say this, that's 100% wrong!!!!!!!! When an engine is assembled, it's not if it's going to blow, it's when!!!!

I had a motor blow because of the supercharger. It all depends on what else you have done to the car. I have a nitrous Stang street car (daily driver) and a Stang with a Vortech (also daily driver). I jumped the boost up on the supercharged car to 10lbs and "BOOM" went the motor. The car only had 20,000 miles on it. Now I have a DSS forged shortblock and the boost is now at 14lbs. The nitrous car has a totally stock 4.6 bottom end and has been on the spray for over 4 years. Just my .02.
