Just thought I'd brag about my new wheels, which also required swapping over to 5 lugs.
Here's a before pic...
And an after pic....What y'all think?
The rear was no problem, just bought a set of heavy duty axles for the left side of a Ranger, along with a set of brake drums (also Ranger).
The front took a little more work. Bought some rotors for a mid 80's Lincoln, but because I went with 15" wheels, the wheel hit on the bolts that hold the caliper and pad in place. I ground down the head of the bolts, and though it's close, there is enough clearance for the wheel to rotate. Good thing the bolts were the torx insert style
Now, after having dealt with wheels that require the shank style lug nuts, I will recommend everyone to stay away from these. They're a pain to get the nuts started on the stud. The acorn style lugnut is much easier to work with

Well, this isn't going so good...
2 say the Pony's are better, and the other says the new wheels are "tight" (I guess that means they're ok...)
Just goes to show that I must be much older than most here. You see, these style wheels have been my favorites since I was a teenager (I'm now 46), and for some reason or another, the big wheel fad (16, 17, 18" rims) has never done anything for me. We didn't have them back then.
Guess I just never grew up...
And BTW-I'm keeping the 15's

its not that I think the new ones are bad, I just like the pony's better. To me it makes the car look older with the new ones. That's now always a bad thing. It's just an opinion. But, you ARE twice my age and I probably think that you look better walking in Nike Air Force Ones....j/k

i would have put a new set of chrome ponies on there. those cragar type wheels look good on other cars but im just not a huge fan of them on your fox although they don't look bad. we have cragars and torque thrusts on some of our cars that seem to "fit". imo i would have kept a fox body wheel or 87+ mustang wheel on there.

Ya now ur 30 yrs older than me and i see why they look good to you but to us" younger generation" they look just out date. I like ponies b/c they were the original and look good but its sentimental to you. I give you credit they look good but 15' shouldnt go on a fox.
