Default 3 speed tranny's

Hey guy's I'm new to this site and relativly new to mustangs, my question for you guy's is that I plan on changing my newly aquired 68 six banger mustang to an 8cyl but I want to make it simple and was wondering what was different about the V8 3-speed tranny and the inline 6 3-speed tranny I would like to keep the 3 speed if I could just so I don't have to go looking for other parts and spending more money than I already want to. I have a 69 v8 chassis to use for the suspension and I plan on running a basically stock 302.

Default RE: 3 speed tranny's

Here is a great site with plenty of information on bell housings and transmissions.
Use this page as a start point. Lots more good info on his site

Good luck,
