sounds damn good to me. if you have a riced out truck sell it to a dumbass ricer who will buy it for high money just cause it looks "sweet" (in his opinion, not mine). congrats on finally finding where the real cars are.

how mechanical are you?? if you save up money first you could find an 87-93 5.0 which needs an engine rebuild or some work for like $1000. then sell the truck when you get the stang running and use that money on mods. then you will kick the sh*t out of the ricers and havea sick stang good luck

well personally if i had decent 2nd gen S10/S15 pickup i would throw in a lt1 or a ls1. but that is me. if it was an older S10/S15 i would then sell it.

I hear ya man, I'm 17 now and have my stang (traded my S10 4x4 for it) and a 94' del Sol.... you could always do as I do, work your ass off and pay the payments and insurances yourself lol I wouldn't recommend it though, cause you'll never get to do much to it... or well, maybe you would since you wouldn't have two cars to keep up with... anyways, hope you get the stang and have some fun with it!

is the del sol a beater car, netter be . sorry, i just dont like japanese cars, especially civics.

i have a question for you guys who want to put an LS1 into a S10, WHY?? i do agree that it would be fun to dress it up like a ricermobile and then open up the straight pipes at the line and hear "ohh sh*t, he has a V8" from the ricers, if they even know what a V8 is. *L*. i just think it would have more use in a car. IMO trucks should be used for work and off roading, thats it!! and a S10 is a little weak for off roading.

mkspeed... no the del Sol isn't a beater... I pay payments on it and I love it... plus I have to commute to work and being 17 and making six bux and hour my stang just doesn't cut it. my del Sol isn't riced out or anything (it was at one time), I've put some decent money into it making it super clean and good looking, not gaudy. And plus you might change your mind if you've ever been in a sol with the top off, bangin gear around thecurvey ass roads I have to take to work ( we have a lot of these here in southern Indiana). And to the whole V8 S10 thing, one thing, you dont have to have a riced out truck to make it bad ass... I have nothing against you or what not, but you believe trucks are just make for work or off roading, then you should pay a visit to Paoli, IN and let my take for a ride in my dads truck... true ford 1950 F-100 400BB midly modded, valarie (or how ever you spell that) front end and 9" in the rear... very fun to drive! Another thing, saying S10's are a lil weak for off roading... naw, I had an 87' S10 4x4 and it went any where I wanted it to.. many people forget to often that S10 have a nice short wheelbase. My S10 would go places that my dads 97 Dakota wouldn't think of going. My cousin has an 85 S10 4x4 w/ 350 swap, 3 body lift, 5" suspension lift, 33 Mickies, pure mudd slinger... lol anyway sorry for wasting everyones time. So have fun and see ya all l8r!

when i was talking about S10s i forgot about the '80s ones, i was just thinkin about the new generation ones and they arent as good. and the '50 truck sound cool too. i love the old ford trucks. just remember i was born in '87 so my experience with older cars (and trucks)is limited to what i see on the roads these days and from what i hear on this forum. and when i hear trucks i think of the newer generation ones (from when i have been alive) and forget about the older ones. the older trucks with curvey lines are cool to be made into street machines, why else would chevy make the El Camino?? that is a cool truck/car (it is kind of both). thanks for correcting me on that .
