Default '05 v6 Idles high when I first start it up

When I go up to start up my car early in the morning It immediately tachs about 1500rpm. I can sometimes rev the engine up pretty high to make it settle down to 700-900 or whatever it's supposed to be at. Does anyone know if this is normal?

You might have it checked when you take your car into the dealership for the "trim stuff" you will need to have taken care of and have that on your list.

Mine runs around 900/1000 when I start it cold for about 30 seconds.
