depends on the state.

GT's already have a crossover (H) pipe in them. If you keep your stock cat's, and then run a x-pipe with mufflers, you probably would be ok in a lot of places.

Removing the cat's will definitely fail you.

In Illinois, if you are worried about passing the emissions testing then:

Stay with your stock cats...

Anything after the cats such as the X-Pipe, side exhaust outlets or different mufflers
will not change the emission quality of the testing...

Other cats may effect the outcome...

It depends on the state, but...

An x-pipe w/o cats would fail you...

An x-pipe that attaches to the factory cats would not.

They both don't have cats, but be careful when ordering as there are those x-pipes that have a cat delete, which you don't want. What you want is the aftercat x-pipe.
