Did 145 today

Everyone i talked to about the stock GT's top speed said ill barely get to 140 but i got up to 145 pretty fast in 4th gear for a stick 2001 gt... anyone else ever hit top speed in there stangs???

I've never topped out but I hit 140+ stock in my auto. Probably 142-143 according to the speedo, but I chickened out and didn't want to die so I slowed down. Pretty hairy around 140, isn't it?

My 01 S281 has seen nearly 180 mph. It will go faster than 180, though.
