Default Rear Blackout Panel

The panel comes with 3m tape on the top and bottom. Do you guys put any pieces on the sides to keep water out? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Silver...

THAT looks great man!

I removed thin tape that came on the unit... then used 1/2" 3M tape... one all across the top... and one down each edge and one down just outside each side of the hole for the GT Emblem. that way the water (should there be any) could run out the bottom.

I got through a touchless car wash all the time... it doesn't get water in there at all.. at least - it doesn't drip water afterward.

Where do you purchase it? (Please don't say E-bay...) I think that would look great on my tungsten vert.

PW... How could you take that beauty through a car wash? A man as into his cars as you should be washing her by hand! What gives?

Pull.... Here in STL.. we have a "Waterway" and they take VERY careful handling if your car.. and with mine, they use the towels I give them instead of using theirs. The wash itself is VERY Gentle on your car.

I wash it by hand when I can.. but working my normal job (50/55 hours a week) Plus teaching one night a week + prep time... and my involvement in some other boards, I don't have a lot of solid free time. I can STAND for my car to have a speck of dirt on it... she gets "Dusted" every morning and again before I leave my works parking lot. Misted anytime I notice a smudge. But.. we get an occasional thunder storm or road construction which requires an actual washing.

PW---how are you dusting?

I got a California car duster, and it seems to work fine. I'm just worried about extended use of it---like any ill effects. I know better than to use it instead of a REAL wash, but to remove the light dust or tree pollen, it is a quick and slick fix!

( Doh! I'm really not trying to steal the thread--just curious )

Hambone..

It isn't that "Brand" a duster.. but pretty much the same thing... I used them daily on the last 3 cars I have owned with NO ill effects.. replace "it" every year.

However.. I NEVER "RUB" with the thing... I just use a light brushing action with it to "dust" the car. If there is ANYTHING on the car that the duster doesn't remove with a light touch, I use a polishing cloth with Mcquiers Detail Mist .
