I just got my 04 GT automatic and my friend is already challenging me. He has a 03 Dodge Dakota 4x2 extended cab with the 4.7L V8 automatic. The only mods I know of that he has is straight pipes while mine is stock. I know his truck is pretty quick b/c of the large engine in a small truck, but how should this race turn out? I do know that his quits at 100.
Thanks,
Chris

there are alot of parts available for his truck, but if i lost to a dakota and a GT, i would be pissed...even if he had one of the "HO" dakotas, with a 5 speed, i would still put my safe money on your GT.
yeah, the fastest dakota r/t's ran a 7second 0-60 and that was before dodge detuned them b/c of people losing control of the ass end of the trucks due to all the torque in the weightless rearend. if you cant outperform the small v-8 with a GT, then something is incredibly wrong
