Default v6 to v8 conversion

Hey I'm thinking about buying a 94-95 v6 5spd convertible. I intend to build a 347 stroker for the car. What I want to know is can I simply drop the motor in with new motor mounts? Will I have to get a totally new computer and transmission? I don't know much about the computer because I'm used to my '67; all this newer stuff confuses me. Would it be cheaper to buy a GT to begin with after the parts of the conversion are factored in? Thanks for any help you can give me.

The best thing to do is find a wrecked GT to transfer everything. There is quite a difference in the two cars. Computer, drivetrain, suspension, brakes, etc are different. You might just be better off trying to find a GT unless you are really committed to the swap.

All the effort in to the swap could be time well spent on mods for a GT,try to find a GT for a good price and go from there.

Plus, in a swap, somebody with a head on their shoulders is going to replace the simple things like hoses and belts. It all adds up to more $$$.
