Default Cobra R Bumper on GT

Hey hows it going. So i had a lil fender bender with my stand, and i need a new hood and bumper. So since I have to buy new parts, i thought i would get something different. I always lked how the CObra R bumper looked so i was thinking about getting that. Now my question comes in play - this bumper is pretty big, or at least bigger than the stock GT, so being my car is lowered 1.5 inches, what is ground clearance going to be like? Any and all help would be appreciated, thanks.

Your clearance will be very minimal, I can guarantee you that. Maybe a matter of a couple inches. If you decide to go that route, just be very careful...

I once had fog lights hanging very low on another vehicle, not stang. I got into a driveway without slowing down and screw them fog lights up. That cobra r front sure looks good, but with good also comes responsibility. I want to do it too, but now that this was brought up, I better talk to cobra r owner and ask them how they drive it.

^ The authentic 00 R bumper is easily detachable if they need it to be. So, most of them probably take it off if they ever do drive the car anywhere.

Try at svtperformance.com and see if the owners there have any suggestions, I don't think we have any active posters here with one on their car, so I don't know how much help you'll get here from someone who has one.
