Who did the work on your car? Stock motor, or any extras, like a blower, etc? I really like it!! Looks cool. and will forever start rumors that 05 -06 Mach 1s doe exist!! Mind saying what the whole deal cost?
Excellent job- I cant tell the hood you got on there, but www.fangperformance.com has one with the '69 center spear/shaker- looks ligit...If I EVER get my friggin car(still no vin...live in ohio, low on the allocation totem pole), and have the cash, Id go for their hood, filling/painting the quarter windows, adding 69 emblems/make up a formed aluminum set of slats like my 69 has on it. Never thought about the 69 mach stripes, but I LIKE IT! Are those original reflective tape too? Too cool...
heres a photoshop pic I did a long time ago on a blue v6 coupe to see kinda how it would look as a fastback:

Ok, here's the deal. So far the Mods on the outside are running about $4k. I am working now under the hood, and installed a cold air, (came with the shaker cobra jet kit). I put in a Hurst Competition Plus shifter (with t-handle). Talking to Brent White at brennspeed about underdrive pulleys, new chip and his own special program, (very impressed with his answers on the phone.) I have talked to Kenny Brown Racing, (I live in Indianapolis close to them), and they want to work on my suspension system front to back. Hope this answers your questions.
My hood is stock, and was cut out for a shaker Cobra Jet system, and hood pins. The Mach 1 Stripes ARE REFLECTIVE, just like the originals. They were hand made by a guy named Billy Jay, who has a shop close to Indianapolis, called "Billy Jay's." He only works on mustangs, and came highly recommended to me. When I went to his shop, he was currently working on a full rotisserie restoration of a '67 Shelby GT-350. He just recently finished a '70 Boss 429, which he told me sold for over $150K. This guy's work is INCREDIBLE! I am so thankful that I found him, (He lives within 25 miles of me.)
Just noticed your rear slats- are they aluminum? where did you get them?
