Default Threw another belt

I have a 327 stroker motor with a supercharger and last night i had downshifted to 2nd just to raise some cane and about 5 miles down the road i smell the belt being burned. right before i turn in the driveway the belt rips in 2. this is the second time that i may have downshifted to far but shouldnt these belts hold up better then just one mistake of downshifting to far? do i need a stronger more expensive belt then the aut zone belts or whats the prob?
