It could either be EGR or fuel. Since you got it up to 75 mph, I bet it's EGR. Replace the valve and solinoid.

I just posted in this post about the same thing....
http://www.mustangforums.com/m_685588/tm.htm

"Not much help when it comes to the tech stuff... but i can say that mine used to do the same thing. I would be driving, then it would just stall. I would have to let it sit for a little bit, then start up and would go. I had some (TFI??? module) replaced and it almost quit doing it. But then, it did it one more time last year and hasnt done it since. Not sure what it is, but there seems to be no cure. I think it has something to do w/ heat though. It always did it to me when it was hot out. Its almost like something is getting hot, shutting the car down, cools off a little, then will run. Very strange, and if you fix the problem, let me know....good luck! "

I have no idea either, but people just tell me to replace this, that, and would like to narrow it down before purchasing every part in the engine. Let me know what you come up with....

I had a 93 MK VIII that would do the same thing. It had an add-on chip that lost it's mind.I removed the chip and had no more problems. If you have no chip or custom tune then it could very well be the ECM.Another thing to look at would be the fuel pump.If it's the original pump it could be the brushes in the pump are worn out. They will continue to work intermittently but will lose contact with the commutator and when fuel pressure is used up the engine stops. When the engine won't start check for fuel pressure by pressing the schrader valve and see if you have fuel pressure.BE CAREFULL,if you do this on a hot engine you could set yourself on fire.It would be better to have a guage hooked up but if you don't have one then cover the valve with a rag to keep fuel from spraying everywhere.

hello,
Check out this post: http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...ad.php?t=45995 It is on a different forum, but has good info. (this forum is much better though!) Anyway, they are saying it could be the stator in the distrubutor.... might be worth checking out for 35.00. If it does work for you, please let me know. This problem is all too familiar for the 94-95 stangs. Let me know what fixes it for you....
