Default Saleen SuperCharger......

OK,

I have decided to look seriously into a supercharger. I was looking at vortech, procharger, and saleen. I am leading with saleen, even tough it runs $5,000 I just feel that the quality and performance is unmatchable. I'm not looking to boost 15 psi, or crank the hell of out it, I just want to get as Close ass 400HP at the back wheels as I can. With Intake, Exhaust (both already done) and a supercharger I think this can be achieved. Any suggestions? Anyone with a 05 saleen, out of curioustiy what is your Average Miles per gallon?

Thanks,

Peter T.

You can get 400rwhp running 4psi boost with the new saleen s/c without any other modifications.

I noticed that they include a tuning device for the saleen supercharger, Will my existing tune from predator for the CAI, and 93 octane be affected. Will it delete or flash back to stock?

It'll override the Predator tune with Saleen's own tune. However, with additional modifications besides the SC, you should get a custom tune.

I've talk to a vendor about the Saleen S/C as to how much and what I would need.
But if you to a tune, that should help you with your gas mileage (correct me if I'm wrong).

Ed,

I understand what you mean about the old lady thing, my girlfreind is the same way. Here is the setup I would start with for the car and you can always add boost and parts to the car down the road.

Saleen Blower kit
39# injectors
90mm Mass air
Mass air conversion harness
SCT Xcal 2 with 3 custom JDM tunes

This comes to $6075 but right now we are taking $200 off this package. So it would come to $5875. you also need an air kit for the 90mm maf and only the steeda or our JDM open air kit will work. Ours is $125 and steeda's is $265.

Hope this helps and call me if I can be of any service.

I have the Saleen S/C, Steeda cold air intake, 39# injectors and the stock exhaust. Instead of using Saleens tune I got a custom tune from a local tuner and I currently am putting out 381 hp and 356 tq. The temp was 97 and humidity 45%. I am currently running 4.5 lbs of boost.

Also you can find the Saleen S/C for under 4600 if you look around on the net, I know of three vendors that are selling them for that price. I saw on another forum that Saleen is updating its kit that will come with a smaller pulley, injectors, better wiring and a cold air intake. It is a month or so away yet.

If you need anything else pm me.

Let us know when they come out.
If you talked to JDM then you already know where to buy an upgrade to the Saleen S/C. They have a 10.5 psi pully, serpintine belt, the 39lbs injectors, 90 MAF, CAI, and new tunes. I don't know when you bought your kit but the price has gone up due to the fact that the S/C is not as available as it was. When you order from a site be careful because they may be on back order.
