I want the opinon of everybody about 20 in chrome and mustangs. You like em, you hate em. And also the problems that come along with them. Some say they'll fit on but affect your steering and turning. Some say they never had any problems. How do you feel when you see it in the streets. Excited and proud or pissed off and embarassed. All 2 cents welcome.

I'm sure he is referring to the size of the rims. I guess I would have to say do what you want and don't worry bout what others think. Most people on here will tell you to get mustang rims, cause they are worried people might think they are "rice". I personally wouldn't ask anyone on here there opinion on styling of the car.

I say stupid, and not because I don't like the look (which I don't). Firstly, replacement tires would be a bear, $$ wise. Secondly, you go above 17 and you're losing performance. It's one thing to make your stang look good, but I think 20's would be killing it. However, if you're riding it for style, and want an eye catcher that also catches the ears, go for it.

People use their cars for many different things. Racing, cruising, mudding. You could have a 10 inch lift and 26 inch tires if that's your thing. IMO if you have 20 inch rims and you have to lift the car to use them, then you are a cruiser and you don't amount to any sort of racing. That means cruise on and for the sake of your dignity, don't race anyone.
Once upon a time didn't people choose a rim based on the tire they wanted to use for their application?
Giant rims look stupid on most everything. They redid a classic mustang on one of those "fix up your car" shows and everything was ok except they put 18's or 20's on it or something and it looked retarded. I don't know who started doing stuff like that, but its catching on with tons of people and I don't get it. I still like the looks of a big fat tire in the back and a decent sized one up front - no wagon wheels here. Why's everyone hatin on the sidewall?
Dude, A lot of people here are into performance, not looks. Take it from me. I would just go w/ the 18's. They do fit perfect, can lower the car down and look cool as hell. As for brakes dont worry about it. I left my factory brakes w/ my 18's. I do have a buddy that put 18's on his and upgraded his brakes w/ 13's and his does stop better, but the rims dont effect braking-your rotor is not changing size and going from 16 or 17 to 18 will not do a thing. As for type, definately chrome. Is there anything better than rolling down the road and having sparkling rims? You could go w/ 20's but i personally would go w/ 18's. You dont want to much down there and would hate to have to raise the stang. -also, lowering it 2 inches and putting 18's on doesnt effect your performance, it only helps. (as long as you replace your stock shocks, etc..) Good luck and have fun! "Top Down, Chrome Spinin'"
Ive seen 20's on F-Bodys and Stangs and it looks plain ugly. Go no higher than 18's. The 20's will weigh so much that your acceleration will suffer and Im sure you will get crap from other muscle car owners when your crusing around or at a show etc.
